Speed Up Rule (Courtesy Runner)

  • AAA League
  • Single A League

12U and Younger Divisions

  • A courtesy runner may be used for the catcher only.

  • This rule may only be used when there are 2 outs.

  • The courtesy runner must be the player who made the last batted out.

13U and Older Divisions

  • A courtesy runner may be used for the pitcher or catcher at any time.

  • The courtesy runner must be the player who made the last batted out.
