Team Eligibility
- AAA League
New Team Approval
To maintain the competitiveness of the WBL, all new 10U-14U teams must be approved by the board and provide two references from current WBL team coaches.
This requirement does not apply to 8U and 9U teams.
Returning Team Eligibility
Any Silver team with a combined winning percentage of .150 or below (regular season and tournament) is ineligible to return to the WBL.
Teams between .151 and .250 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Does not apply to teams transitioning from 8U to 9U or 9U to 10U.
Automatic Team Placement
Gold to Silver: Teams with a winning % of .200 or below move to Silver. Teams between .201 and .350 are reviewed case-by-case.
Silver to Gold: Teams with a winning % of .800 or above move to Gold. Teams between .700 and .799 are reviewed case-by-case.
All other teams are placed via a coach's vote at the preseason meeting.
Where Your Record Lands
Winning percentage is combined (regular season and tournament). Ties count as half a win.

Playing Up a Division
Teams wishing to play up an age division must meet strict criteria for approval:
Undefeated WBL Spring Season (Gold Division).
Season run differential of +100 or greater.
Approved teams must register for the Gold Division.
Approval from the WBL Board is required before your team registers.
Registration Process
Confirm a Spot with a Host League. This can be any of the WBL Affiliated leagues or another league that can provide dedicated field space for your home games.
Complete the Online Application. Register on the WBL website. You will select your host and pay a deposit to secure your application.
Await Application Review. The WBL Board will review your application. You will be notified if your team is approved, rejected, or if more information (such as coach references) is required. Upon approval, the remainder of your league fee will be collected.
