NEW TEAM APPROVAL PROCESS

To maintain the competitiveness of the WBL, all new 10U-14U teams must be approved by the WBL board. These teams must provide two references from current WBL team coaches. This requirement does not apply to 8U and 9U teams.

RETURNING TEAM ELIGIBILITY

• Any Silver team (in a Gold/Silver age group) or Bronze team (in a Gold/Silver/Bronze age group) with a combined winning percentage of .150 or below from the previous regular season and tournament is ineligible to participate in the WBL.
• Teams with a combined winning percentage between .151 and .250 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

AAA TEAM PLACEMENT

Each year, some teams will automatically move from Gold to Silver or Silver to Gold based on their previous year's performance.

Gold to Silver Placement

• Gold teams with a winning percentage of .200 or below will automatically move to the Silver division.
• Gold teams with a winning percentage between .201 and .350 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Silver to Gold Placement

• Silver teams with a winning percentage of .800 or above will automatically move to the Gold division.
• Silver teams with a winning percentage between .799 and .700 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

All other teams will be placed via a coach's vote at the January coaches meeting.

Registration Process

Follow these simple steps to register your team for the WBL Spring season:

Step 1: Host League Reservation

Confirm a slot with a host league. This can be any of the WBL Affiliated leagues listed below or any other league that will give you dedicated field space.

• Herriman Baseball
• Riverton Baseball
• Southeast Valley Baseball
• SoJo Baseball (Formerly Bingham Baseball)
• West Jordan Copper Hills Baseball

Step 2: Online Application

Starting November 1st, you can complete your application and register on the WBL website. You will select your host at the time of registration and pay a small $25 deposit.

Step 3: Application Review

The WBL Board will review your application, and you will receive one of the following outcomes:

• Team Approved to play and the rest of your WBL fee will be collected the month following your initial registration
• WBL Board requests additional information from you (e.g., WBL coach references)
• Team Rejected based on the criteria mentioned above
